Oncology Referrals

Cancer patient referral

Referrals are not required for patients to access our services, but they are appreciated and help us deliver the most comprehensive care.

• We accept patients from any suburb; no geographic limits.
• We contact patients within two working days of receiving a referral.
• We work in partnership with you, copy you on investigations, and phone you (or your delegate) for urgent issues.
• All oncology services are fully bulk-billed with a valid Medicare card.

Why refer here?

• Patient-centred plans that reduce hospital trips.
• Written updates to the oncologist after each consult; urgent issues discussed by phone.
• Integrated support: pre-treatment readiness, side-effect management, follow-up care, education, and supportive treatments (e.g., iron infusions).

How to refer

Currently, written referrals only. Email is preferred, dictated letters are welcome.

Please include:

• Patient name, address, gender, date of birth
• Patient phone number (essential)
• Cancer type, staging, metastatic sites
• Current and previous treatments; most recent investigations
• What services you’d like us to offer
• Your preferences for routine and urgent communication
• Any other relevant clinical information
